Skull Island: Reign of Kong

Set to open this summer at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, this expansive multi-experience ride will take guests on an excursion through a 1930s jungle. While exploring ancient ruins and uncharted terrain, the riders will encounter the infamous Kong, while narrowly escaping the treacherous jungle and it’s formidable inhabitants.

Also coming this summer, is a brand new rollercoaster, measuring about 200 feet in height being assembled at Orlando’s Sea World. Named for the fastest shark on the planet this coaster boasts a 73-mph ride – making it Orlando’s fastest yet. Mako will be a hyper-coaster, with nine hills and a 200 ft drop. Yikes!

Cobra’s Curse

Busch Gardens is feeling the pressure to step-up their thrill-ride game and who could blame them with all of the record-breaking additions hitting Orlando this year. Cobra’s Curse is setting its own record as the first spin coaster of its kind in the world. With the themed of Egyptian archaeology, this ride will feature a vertical lift, a giant snake’s head, and “whirl” around the park’s Serengeti Plain.

Disney Springs

So many people have asked, what is this Disney Springs I keep hearing about? Where is it? Well, this is a massive transformation of the Downtown Disney we have all grown to love/hate. Doubling shops and retail space is great, but I want to hear more about the new restaurants and music venues. Reportedly, all phases of the new hot-spot are set to open this year.

Multipurpose Soccer Stadium

Opening this summer, is the brand-spankin-new home to the Orlando City Lions soccer club. Located in downtown Orlando, the entertainment center will host around 28,000 guests.
