The Orlando Eye: “Discover the magic from above”

orlando-eye

According to OrlandoParksNews.com and the official Orlando Eye website this will be the “tallest observational wheel on the North American East Coast”! Reaching 400 ft, at its peak, this new ride offers a 20 minute viewing experience. There will be 30 capsules rotating around a giant ferris wheel-like structure. Each glass capsule will hold up to 15 people and offer air conditioning, color changing LED lights and a Bose audio system. Located at the heart of International Drive, the view from above is going to be breath-taking. Imagine watching the Disney Christmas fireworks display from that vantage point! There is even speculation that, on a nice clear day, you could see all the way to Florida’s East Coast and The Kennedy Space Center. The website also boasts that included in the ticket price is the ultimate pre-flight 4D Cinema Experience – “showcasing a 3D film plus spectacular in-theatre effects including fireworks, wind, scents and lighting”. I don’t know about you, but I’m titillated. There is also some info out there about Champagne Flights and Private Capsules. I wonder how many people are already planning to pop the question 400 feet above Orlando’s skyline! Not a bad idea, if you ask this lady.

I-Drive Orlando

Although The Orlando Eye is going to be the largest aspect of I-Drive 360’s new landscape, there is a variety of other attractions to check out while in the area. This spring is going to be a very busy and exciting time for I-Drive 360, with tons of new stuff opening up. Like, the new 420-ft Star Flyer (said to be the tallest in the world!); the SEA LIFE Aquarium (featuring 30 exhibits and over 5,000 creatures); Madame Tussauds Wax Museum (featuring our own Dan Marino); and a slew of top-notch restaurants. There is, literally, something for everyone at Orlando’s newest amusement complex.
